Marriage Agreements
A Marriage Agreement (also known as a Prenuptial or Premarital Agreement) is a written contract you and your future spouse enter into before marriage that explains how you will manage finances and property during the marriage and if it ends or one spouse dies. You do not have to live together for a marriage agreement to apply. Many couples use it to reduce uncertainty, protect specific assets (like a business or inheritance), and avoid conflict later.
